Easter and baseball; a perfect combination
Witness the Phillies sweep our lowly home team, the Padres. Looks to be a long season ahead.
Sundays are family days at the ballpark. We were able to head out onto the field, run around and play catch. A dream for the Dude, who insists on bringing a mitt, ball and bat with him every where. I suppose he wants to be ready. One never knows when the opportunity to play will arise!
Happy Spring!

First official photo shoot
Photography by Michael Winter. Taken in various locations in San Diego's Balboa Park (one of my favorite locations). I would recommend Michael to anyone looking for a photographer. He's just starting out, still technically an amateur so his prices are still reasonable and he'll do location shoots. And from the various shots, you can see he did a great job catching various expressions. Photographing children isn't easy, and I'm so happy to see how well the photos turned out.

Happy New Year - 2010
How did that happen? Sitting with a Stella Artois while watching Funny People,is not exactly how I imagined ringing in a new year, but with a sleeping little dude in the other room; it is my life now. I enjoy the solitude or at least the quiet. No fretting over where, transportation, spending ridiculous amounts of money to be surrounded by 100+ strangers...not to mention the hangover.
I think I hit the ceiling a few years back during a wee-hour, 9 round New Years celebration. How bad was it? Let's just say that I couldn't flip over on the couch without being ill. Yeah. It was the worst 24 hours of my life - but it was an awesome night if I remember correctly. Question is - do I remember it correctly?
Happy New Year. It is 2010. Make this year the best one yet. One long celebration, so that when '11 hits, it hurts too much to flip-over:)

Got Milk?
Mommies beware. Come with your own supply because it isn't as available as one might expect. Matter of fact, this weekend I left a fast food restaurant (I was just driving through for milk and chicken strips) because they only had fat free milk; and we had to leave an extra innings baseball game because the only vendor that carries milk (in the whole park according to customer service) closed and we couldn't find a drop of it in the whole park! At least the zoo carries two percent because that would have been a bummer weekend. Normally I carry a cooler with a thermos of milk - but with the hot weather and our long days out, I figured I would just spend the extra money and purchase milk wherever we go.
Not that simple. I just want someone to explain to me why family friendly venues don't prepare for the basics. Got Milk? You better, because they will not.
